Interestingly enough, Shashi Kapoor was the chief guest at this function and he was the first professional actor to encourage Anil Kapoor. In the second year of college, Anil was expelled due to non attendance.At this stage of life Anil decided to chase his dream seriously.He first tried to seek admission in the Pune Film Institute but failed in the written test. So was his friend Mazhar Khan.Then he enrolled in Roshan Taneja's acting classes. He did not bunk a single day.
